Dynamic Reporting

Dynamic Reporting is an on-screen, interactive reporting experience that allows users to see response data in real-time, without having to generate and download a report.

NOTES:

  • This feature is automatically enabled for CES Administrators.  CES Administrators can then enable the feature for other roles as they wish (see Permissions section below).
  • As a Watermark Labs release, this feature will continue to evolve.  We welcome feedback on what you think works well and where you think we can improve this functionality. If you have feedback, please submit an Idea in the The Watermark Ideas Portal

To access Dynamic Reporting, click Build a Report from the Results Home page.

Using Dynamic Reporting

  1. Select a Project.  Users can choose to include anywhere from 1 to 5 projects.
  2. (Optional) Select Questions.  If questions are not selected, the report will return results from all questions in the selected project(s) that the user has permission to view.
  3. (Optional) Select Courses.  If a course is not selected, the report will return results from all courses in the selected project(s) that the user has permission to view.
  4. (Optional) Select Instructors.  If an Instructor is not selected, the report will return results from all Instructors in the selected project(s) that the user has permission to view.

Viewing Results

  • Results for all question types include response rate.
  • Quantitative results contain mean, standard deviation, and a graph.
  • Qualitative results include the response count as well as a window to view all write-in responses.
  • For team taught questions, Instructors view their own results while Administrators view results for all instructors.
  • Users can view the projects, courses, and instructors linked to each question and access more details when needed by clicking the View Relevant Filters button.Screenshot showing the number of projects and courses included in the results and the view relevant filters button

Permissions

Access to the Dynamic Report is managed through a permission in Account > Permissions. By default, the permission will be enabled for CES Administrators and disabled for all other roles.
