Qualitative Analysis

Customers utilizing the Results Home feature have the opportunity to incorporate Qualitative Analysis (sometimes called Text Analytics) for text-based questions at no extra cost. This optional feature is intended to enable faculty to effectively utilize data collected for a specific, non-team-taught Write-In question type.  Customers must have the Results Home feature enabled to utilize the Qualitative Analysis feature.

There is an approval process to get the Qualitative Analysis feature enabled in your account.  You can reach out to your Client Success Manager (CSM), who will help navigate the approval process.  If you are not sure who your Client Success Manager is, you can Submit a Request to Support and they will let you know who the CSM is for your organization.

NOTE: Once Qualitative Analysis is enabled, it will not appear in your account until the system refreshes overnight.  After the refresh, Qualitative Analysis will be available for any project with a start date on or after January 2023.

  1. Questions - Select a Write In question from the list of survey questions in the dropdown box
  2. Summary - The Summary section serves as a synopsis of the comments received. This section will distill the essence of the feedback, highlighting the main themes expressed by the respondents. By providing a succinct summary, users will be able to quickly grasp the overall sentiment of the feedback without having to sift through each individual comment.
  3. Sentiment Analysis - A Sentiment Analysis graph will display the data in percentages, categorizing the responses into four distinct groups: Positive, Mixed, Neutral, and Negative. The visual representation of this data will allow users to easily interpret the overall sentiment of the comments at a glance.
