Faculty Success Release Notes for August 25th, 2026

This release adds a new security permission for clients authenticating with Watermark Navigator to switch between Production and Beta, widens the record editor drawer to give certain activity types more room to display, and renames the Quick CV export option in My Profile for clarity.

New Features

Watermark Navigator: New Security Permission to Enable "Beta" as an Application in the Switcher

Institutions using the Watermark's Navigator authentication method can now assign a new security permission, Beta SSO Access, to any existing or newly created security role. When this permission is added, a Faculty Success Beta row becomes available in the user's Product Picker, allowing them to toggle between the Production and Beta environments using the same authentication method.

To add this access to an existing security role, or create a new standalone role which is assigned on a per-account basis, submit a General Work Request. More information on applying changes to Security Roles is available in Reviewing and Creating New Security Roles.

Users who are not assigned the Beta SSO Access permission can still access Beta using local authentication. This update simply provides a secure, streamlined option for users with single sign-on (SSO) accounts who need access to both environments. We've updated our article on Accessing the Faculty Success Beta Environment with the new access instructions.

Note: To set up this permission, submit a Work Request to have a new security role created (for example, "Beta Access") and applied to the individuals who should be able to switch between Production and Beta.

Review our article, Overview of the Faculty Success Beta Environment, to learn more about this feature.

Enhancements

Wider Record Editor Drawer

Faculty Success now displays the activity editor in a wider drawer. With the new faculty experience the record editing view moved from full navigation screens into drawers, but some activity types needed more room to properly display their fields and structure. This update expands the activity editor's width, keeping you in context while giving you more space to view and update your activity records.

My Profile Export: "Quick CV" Renamed to "My Profile as CV"

The Quick CV option under the My Profile > Export menu is now labeled My Profile as CV. The previous label led some users to believe this was their institution's designated CV format, when it instead reflects the layout of their own My Profile screen. The new label better describes what the export actually produces. This is a labeling change only; the export itself functions the same as before.
