Getting Started with Placement and Content Area Tags
Admins can now manage Placement and Content Areas tags. This update offers more control, helping users organize placement data effectively. They can add, edit, or remove tags on placements, ensuring only relevant tags are available.
Setting Up Tags in the Tags Tab
In order to create tabs you will need to be in the Placement Management tab and clicked into the Tags sub tab. Once there, follow these steps:
Create Tags
- Select Add New Tag.
- Input the tag name and tag type (Content Area or Placement Detail).
- Then click Add Tag.
Edit Tags
Once a tag is created, it can be edited. This can be done by clicking the three dots menu (overflow menu) and selecting Edit Tag.
Note: Tag type can only be changed before the tag is used with a placement.
Delete Tags
Tags can be permanently deleted via the three dots menu (overflow menu). After clicking the Delete option, there will be an additional confirmation before deleting is complete.
Archive & Unarchive Tags
Tags can be archived and unarchived as needed. To archive a tag, select Archive Tag from the three dots menu (overflow menu). Once selected, the user must confirm before the tag will be archived.
After archiving a tag, the tag can be seen by selecting the Archived Tags toggle.
To unarchive a tag, turn on the Archived Tags toggle. Then click the three dots menu (overflow menu) and select Unarchive Tags. Confirm on the pop up menu. Once completed, the tag can once again be associated with placements.
Attaching Tags to a Placement
Once tags are created and available for placements they can be added to a placement.
Manually Adding a Tag
- Navigate to the Placement Management tab.
- Select the name of the student whose placement needs to be edited.
- Go to the Placement Details and select the tag needed.
- Then go to Content Areas and choose the tag for that item as well.
- Once all adjustments are made, select Save & Close.
Adding a Tag via Import
When creating placements using the import option, simply add the titles of your tags to the Placement Details and Content Areas columns in the CSV file. Once imported, that information will be associated with its respective placement.
