Overview
This article explains how administrators manage Placement Tags, Content Area Tags, and Placement Labels within Placement Management. It details how to create, edit, archive, unarchive, and attach tags and labels both manually and via CSV import.
Getting Started with Placement and Content Area Tags
Administrators can manage Placement and Content Area tags to maintain consistent placement data. Tags can be added, edited, archived, or removed to ensure only relevant options are available to users.
Setting Up Tags in the Tags Tab
To create tags, navigate to the Placement Management tab and select the Tags sub-tab.
Create Tags
- Select Add New, then select New Tag.
- Enter the Tag Name and select the Tag Type (Content Area or Placement Detail).
- Select Add Tag.
Edit Tags
Created tags can be edited at any time by selecting the three-dots menu (overflow menu) and choosing Edit Tag.
Note: The tag type can only be changed before the tag is associated with a placement.
Delete Tags
- Select the three-dots menu (overflow menu) next to the target tag.
- Select Delete.
- Select Delete Tag on the confirmation modal.
Archive & Unarchive Tags
Tags can be archived or unarchived to control visibility.
Archive a Tag
- Select Archive Tag from the three-dots menu (overflow menu).
- Select Archive.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
To view archived tags, enable the Archived Tags toggle in the control bar.
Unarchive a Tag
- Enable the Archived Tags toggle.
- Select the three-dots menu (overflow menu) for the target tag.
- Select Unarchive Tag.
- Confirm the action in the pop-up menu. Once unarchived, the tag can again be associated with placements.
Attaching Tags to a Placement
After tags are created, they can be assigned to individual placements manually or imported in bulk.
Manually Adding a Tag
- Navigate to the Placement Management tab.
- Select the name of the student whose placement requires updating.
- Navigate to Placement Details and select the required tag.
- Navigate to Content Areas and select the appropriate tag.
- Select Save & Close.
Adding a Tag via Import
When creating placements using the CSV import option, include tag names in the Placement Details and Content Areas columns. Upon import, tags are automatically mapped to their respective placements.
Setting Up Labels in the Tags Tab
To create Placement Labels, navigate to the Placement Management tab and select the Tags sub-tab.
Create Labels
- Select the Labels sub-tab.
- Select Add New Label or open the overflow menu.
- Enter the Placement Label Name.
- Select Add Label.
Edit Labels
- Select the three-dots menu (overflow menu) next to the target label.
- Update the Placement Label Name.
- Select Save Changes.
Archive & Unarchive Labels
Labels can be archived and unarchived as needed.
Archive a Label
- Select Archive Label from the three-dots menu (overflow menu).
- Select Archive.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
Unarchive a Label
- Enable the Archived Labels toggle.
- Select the three-dots menu (overflow menu) next to the target label.
- Select Unarchive Label.
- Confirm the selection on the pop-up modal.
Attaching Labels to a Placement
Once created, labels can be assigned to individual placements manually or imported in bulk.
Manually Adding a Label
- Navigate to the Placement Management tab.
- Select the name of the student whose placement requires editing.
- Go to Placement Label and select the desired label.
- Select Save & Close.
Adding a Label via Import
When creating placements using the import option, enter label titles in the Placement Label column of the CSV file. Imported data will automatically link to the corresponding placement.
