Understanding and Accessing CAS Standards and Self-Assessment Guides
This article provides an overview of the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) and explains how to access their valuable self-assessment guides directly within Watermark Planning & Self-Study.
What is CAS?
The Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) is a consortium of professional associations dedicated to promoting professional standards for high-quality student learning, programs, and services in higher education.
CAS develops and offers:
- 50 functional area standards
- 3 cross-functional frameworks
These resources are accompanied by self-assessment guides, all of which are available to institutions through a paid subscription directly with CAS.
Accessing CAS Guides in Planning & Self-Study
If your institution has an active CAS subscription, you can access their accompanying self-assessment guides directly from the self-study module in Watermark Planning & Self-Study.
To enable this feature for your institution:
- Please contact your Client Success Manager (CSM) at Watermark.
- If you're unsure who your CSM is, you can easily find out by clicking Submit a Request or by using the Chat option to connect with one of our support team members.
Once the CAS templates have been enabled for the institution, they'll be located under the Resources tab within the self-study module. Selecting a guide from this tab will open it in a new browser tab for viewing.
