Following A Student

If a student or group of students falls outside a caseload and students success staff would still like to be informed about anything happening with that particular student, the Following feature within Student Success & Engagement provides that opportunity.

By clicking the star icon above the student photo, that student is then added to the news feed of that student success staff member. Alerts for a student that is 'followed' (and not on your caseload) may or may not appear based on the "Alerts" setting on your "Settings" page (more here: User Settings).

In addition, Follow By Tag Rules may be assigned so that staff automatically follow a specific subpopulation group of students, identified by a Tag.

Note: If "Follow" is not accessible, and the Student Success team is not displayed, this means that the student is not assigned any roles. Once assigned a "Student" role, these will appear.
