Overview
The most common reason students do not display the correct program/degree information on the Student Header is that this data is either missing or incorrect in the Transcript data feed.
- The program data displayed on the Student Header is imported on the Transcript data feed.
- The program data displayed on the Student Programs Tab is imported both on the Transcript data feed and the Person Degree Program data feed.

- Primary and Secondary Degree Program information is imported on the Transcript data feed.
- Program History is imported on the Person Degree Program data feed.

Academic Plan and Student Filter program data also only uses the Primary Program and Primary Degree information imported on the Transcript data feed ("primaryDegreeProgramId").
In most cases, the reason that data is missing or mismatched in SS&E is that the data extract is invalid or does not include the correct data. In order to fix this, the underlying issue must be identified so that the data extract includes the correct data and imports successfully into SS&E.
Student Header Program/Degree Data is Missing or Incorrect
If program data is missing or displaying incorrectly on the student record header, most likely this is related to a problem with the Transcript data feed.
To check what is happening:

Download the transcript.json data extract from Admin > SIS Integration > Datafeeds and search by the student's person ID to check if the correct primary program/degree is included in the Transcript data.
- In order to fix missing or mismatched data, the first step is to identify the source of the missing/incorrect data. To learn more about SIS Integration troubleshooting, click here.
- NOTE: If the Person ID is not found in the Transcript data extract: Copy for the person Id into the Institution Person Id filter on the Person data feed Imported Data View in order to find the corresponding source system Id. Then use the Person src system Id to search the Transcript data extract for the student's Transcript record.

From the above troubleshooting instructions, after downloading transcript.json, verify that the correct data is found within the Transcript data extract by searching for the student ID and verifying that their primary degree/primary program data (primaryDegreeProgramId) being imported from the SIS on the Transcript data feed is correct.

- Searching by Person Id, the value of the primaryDegreeProgramId importing from the SIS on the Transcript data feed is what should display on the student header, student filter, and academic plan.
- To find the primaryDegreeProgramId value: Search the Degree Program data feed Imported Data View to find the name of the primary degree program data.

- If the student's primaryDegreeProgramId is either missing or incorrect - this needs to be fixed in the Transcript source data, either in the SIS/source system, CSV file, or database queries.
- If searching the transcript data extract shows that the student's primaryDegreeProgramId is correct, and it is not updating on the UI, then most likely there is an import error or something missing in the source data that must first be resolved so that the Transcript primary degree program data will import successfully and update the student header on the UI.
- To search for import error(s), in Admin > SIS Integration > Import Errors, filter on the Transcript data feed and the DegreeProgram data feed to check for errors. If there are any results, review the error message(s) to understand what is causing the error and how it can be fixed.

- If found, Import Errors must be resolved so that data imports into SS&E successfully.
- Depending on the exact error, import errors must be fixed either in the SIS source data/CSV file/SQL view/or Informer data extract definitions.
- As soon as the issue causing an import error is resolved, the missing/incorrect data will import successfully and display in SS&E.

If there are no import errors and the correct data is included in the Transcript/person Degree Program data extracts, please open a Support ticket including all findings so that we can further assist.
Program Tab Program Data is Missing or Incorrect
If Program data is missing from the Student Programs tab, download the personDegreeProgram.json data extract from the Datafeeds menu and then search by the person ID.

If the Person Degree Program data extract does not include the missing program tab data this explains why it is not displayed in SS&E.

- To fix this, it must be included in the Person Degree Program data imported from the SIS.

If the Person Degree Program data extract includes the missing data, check for Import Errors on any data feed that is blocking the data and preventing it from importing into SS&E.

- If any import errors exist, they must first be resolved.
- If there are no import errors yet the data is not displayed on the Student Programs tab, please open a Support ticket including all findings.
