The team-taught courses feature is for use by institutions who have courses in which more than one instructor or teaching assistant is enrolled, and where multiple instructors or teaching assistants need to be evaluated separately within one course.
Creating Team-Taught Questions in the Survey Question: Survey Builder
- When adding questions to your survey within Survey Builder, you can select the Enable as Instructor Question or Enable as Teaching Assistant Question option, which will repeat that specific question for each instructor or teaching assistant enrolled in the course, or selected by the student from the instructor/teaching assistant list (depending on which configuration option you have chosen). If only one instructor or teaching assistant is enrolled in the course, survey questions enabled with either option will not repeat. Survey questions enabled with the Non-Instructor/Non-TA question option will only display once to the student/respondent in the survey, regardless of how many instructors or teaching assistants are enrolled in the course.

Configuring Instructor Questions in Team-Taught Courses in the Project
- On the Project Properties tab of the project, expand the Instructor Questions in Team-Taught Courses section to choose between two options on how this project will handle instructor team-taught questions.

Instructor Questions in team-taught courses are automatically presented for ALL instructors in the course
- This is the default option.
- Use this feature for courses with multiple instructors where the students have interacted with all instructors enrolled in the course and need to survey all instructors.
- For those questions on your survey that have been enabled for Instructor Questions, the question will repeat for each instructor enrolled in the course.
- The instructor's name will appear in the repeated question so the student/respondent knows which instructor they are evaluating.
- If using the Instructor Name placeholder in the question text, the instructors' names will replace the placeholder in the repeated questions, once for each instructor.

A list of instructors in team-taught courses is presented to the student, and Instructor Questions are only displayed on the survey for instructors selected by the student
- Used for courses with multiple instructors where the students only interacted with one or a few of the total instructors enrolled in the course and therefore only need to evaluate some of the instructors enrolled in the course.
- With this option, when students first access the survey they will be presented with a list of instructors enrolled in that course and will be asked to select the instructor(s) whom they worked with in that course.
- You can customize the text at the top of the list of instructors.
- Once the student has made the selection, the question will repeat for each instructor selected by the student for those questions on your survey that have been enabled as Instructor Questions.
- The instructor's name will appear in the repeated question so the student/respondent knows which instructor they are evaluating.
- If using the Instructor Name placeholder in the question text, the instructors' names will replace the placeholder in the repeated questions, once for each instructor selected.

Instructor and Teaching Assistant Team-Taught Questions in Results
- Team-taught course results will be restricted on an instructor-by-instructor basis.
- Instructors will only have access to their OWN results for the team-taught question responses. All instructors enrolled in a course will be able to view survey results for those questions NOT enabled for team taught courses. For example:
- If both Instructor #1 and Instructor #2 are enrolled in a course with Instructor Questions, Instructor #1 can only view his/her results for the team taught questions and will not have access to Instructor #2's results for those questions, and vice-versa.
- Both Instructor #1 and Instructor #2 would be able to view the results those questions NOT enabled as Instructor Questions.
- TA Reports are only included in Project Results and Instructor Results Areas. In Project Results, multiple sections for each TA will be available, with the TA name added to the Course Title.
- Administrators will be able to view reports for each instructor individually and/or together in one report.
- Instructors will only have access to their OWN results for the team-taught question responses. All instructors enrolled in a course will be able to view survey results for those questions NOT enabled for team taught courses. For example:
