Workspace Data Entry Video

This video tutorial guides users through creating outcome sets in AMS, including logging in, creating new sets, titling them, adding objectives or outcomes, mapping outcomes, and managing multi-level structures. Users are reminded to check the requirement back in and add a session description. A detailed instructional video is also provided.

How to create outcome sets

  1. Log in to your AMS account and click Learning Objective/Outcome on the left-hand side of the screen.
  2. Click Check Out on the top right corner of the page.
  3. To create an outcome set, click Create New Set.
  4. Title your set and designate whether outcomes in the set will be mapped to outcomes in other sets. Take a look at the blue box at the bottom of the page. This shows you the structure that your workspace manager has chosen for your outcome set. Click Continue.
  5. Click Create New.
  6. Add your objective or outcome. Click Continue.
  7. If you have a two-level outcome set, you may now either continue adding parent objectives or child outcomes to one of those parents. If you are working a single level structure, continue adding your outcomes. Once you’re finished adding your outcome, click Continue.
  8. You are presented with three options. You may Add Mapping, which allows you to map the outcome to other outcomes in the set or to other outcomes in other sets. You may Add Another Outcome, which allows you to add another outcome to the set. Back to All Outcome Sets allows you to go back and see your entire list of outcome sets that you’ve already created.
  9. When you’re finished building your outcomes, don’t forget to check the requirement back in and enter a brief description of the work you did in your session.
