Best Practices

  • Assign Submission Permissions when a user needs to monitor submissions without making changes.
  • Assign Unit Administration Permissions when a user needs full control of submissions and role groups within their unit.

Understanding the difference between Submission Permissions and Unit Administration Permissions ensures that users have the right level of access for their responsibilities. Assigning the correct permission type helps maintain security while supporting efficient submission and role group management. When in doubt, start with Submission Permissions for monitoring needs and reserve Unit Administration Permissions for users who require more administrative control.
