Alert Outreach Methods

As a part of the 6.0 Release of SS&E, users now have the ability to track outreach methods that were utilized in resolving alerts. These methods can then be analyzed by the institution to determine the effectiveness surrounding particular intervention and resolution methods across campus.

Upon clicking Close Alert, staff will be able to outline the predefined Outreach Method as well as provide any additional context needed in the Comment area within a students record.

The Alert page showing a staff‑initiated alert titled Academic Concern with the status Open, displaying the alert details, text section, and options to comment or close the alert. The page shows an Outreach dropdown, a Comment text box, a checkbox for including the comment in the email, and Save and Cancel buttons. A note section below shows a recent system entry indicating the alert creation.

A list of predefined outreach methods will already be established within the Administrative screens under Outreach. The institution is able to review this list, edit the outreach methods, make them inactive or add new.

The Outreach page showing a table of outreach types with columns for Name, Active, Modified By, Modified Date, and Outreach Type. Filter options for Active, Inactive, and Both appear above the table along with an Apply button and a +New button at the top left.

To add a New Outreach Method, Administrators would need to click on New in the upper left-hand corner. This will allow the user to define the particular method in more detail. Once Active, SS&E users will be able to apply that method with closing an alert.

The New Outreach page showing fields for Name and Description, an Active checkbox, an Outreach Type dropdown labeled Select an outreach type, and Save and Cancel buttons at the bottom.
