Student Learning & Licensure Release Notes for October 13, 2026

Bulk Met/Not Met Selection for Standards Aligned to Rubric Elements

You can now configure Met/Not Met settings in bulk when aligning standards to a rubric. Updating these settings on a rubric will automatically reflect everywhere the rubric is used, including reports and extracts. You can still edit individual standard settings as needed.

New Report: Assessment Performance Report

This release introduces a new report type: Assessment Performance Report.

The new Assessment Performance Report brings rubric performance, standards alignment, and group comparisons together in one configurable report, so you can answer accreditation and program review questions without running several reports and combining exports in a spreadsheet. The existing Rubric Report and Standards & Outcomes Report remain available.

Features include:

  • Start from rubrics or standards: Run the report by selecting one or more rubrics or one or more standard sets, with optional term, course, section, template, and activity filters to narrow your choices up front.
  • No rubric or standard limits: Include as many rubrics or standard sets as you need in the report with no limit.
  • Clear performance metrics: Each rubric and rubric element shows total assessments, mean score, standard deviation, score range, and the distribution of scores across performance levels, alongside the full name of every mapped standard and its Met % rate.
  • Flexible filters and comparisons: Filter results by term, course, section, activity, template, student, assessor, assessor role, class, major, concentration, minor, location, and delivery method. You can compare results side by side to see the differences across term, course, section, activity, activity template, major, class, location, delivery method, assessor, or assessor role. All filters display only options relevant to assessments for the rubrics or standard sets selected for the generated report.
  • Drill down to students: Select any data point and choose View Students to see the students behind that result, including student name and email, section, activity, assessment date, assessor, performance level, and score. Export this list to follow up with students via email.
  • CSV exports: Export the full report as a CSV file (packaged with a list of applied filters) or export any drill-down list directly to CSV.
  • Save, share, and reuse: Save reports with a custom title, save frequently used filter combinations, and share saved reports with colleagues at your institution.

Note: PDF export capability is coming soon.

Customize Placement Management Terminology

Institutions can now customize the terms used for Mentor and Supervisor throughout Placement Management to match campus terminology (e.g., "Cooperating Teacher," "Site Supervisor," or "Field Instructor"). Once configured, custom labels display across all relevant Placement Management views for administrators, faculty, mentors, and students.

What’s New

  • Institutional Terminology Settings:
    • Configure custom labels (up to 50 characters each) for both Mentor and Supervisor roles.
    • Preview and save custom labels with built-in validation and unsaved changes warnings.
    • Revert to default terms ("Mentor" and "Supervisor") at any time.
  • Consistent Display Across Placement Management:
    • Placement Dashboard & Lists: Headers, status tabs, search filters, and bulk action dialogs.
    • Mentor Management: Mentor directories, creation/editing forms, partner site associations, and archive/restore workflows.
    • Placement Details & Scheduling: Student placement cards, assignment flyouts, unassign confirmations, and history logs.
    • Academics & Sections: Course and section roster headers and section settings.
    • Extracts & Reports: Export filter names, CSV template headers, and generated data extracts.
    • Notifications & Communications: Automated email notifications, digest previews, and message headers.

Note: "Mentor" and "Supervisor" may still be displayed to administrators in select areas of the activity distribution process.

How to Configure

  1. Navigate to Settings > Module Settings.
  2. Select the Placement Management tab.
  3. Under Mentor Terminology, select Write my own for the desired role.
  4. Enter your custom terms and save your settings.

Enable Placement Management at Course Level

Administrators can now enable Placement Management at the course level as well as for multiple sections simultaneously from the Courses list. New sections added to a course with Placement Management enabled will automatically inherit this configuration.

What's New

  1. Bulk Enable Placement Management: A new Bulk Enable Placement Management option appears in the Bulk Actions menu on the Courses list, alongside the Bulk Section Close option.
    • A full-page panel opens displaying open sections that do not have Placement Management enabled.
