Edit Application Templates Without Rebuilding - Introducing Template Versioning
This feature introduces a versioning system that allows admins to edit published and draft Application templates, updating live applications, while automatically protecting all existing submission data. Every published change creates a new version, providing an audit trail of what each student saw at the time of submission.
- Edit Templates Without Rebuilding: Admins can now edit both Draft and Published application templates directly: updating text, adding components, and making changes, without disrupting historical submission data. Every published change automatically creates a new version.
- Faster Access to Editing: Template titles are now clickable links that open a read-only preview with quick actions (Copy, Edit, Delete) right from the template list.
- Archive Instead of Delete: Admins can archive individual answer options in a dropdown or radio button question or entire components to hide them from new applicants, while keeping all historical submission data fully intact.
- Full Revision History: A new Revision History panel lets admins view every version of a template, complete with timestamps, the admin who made each change, and notes describing what changed.
- Preview and Restore Past Versions: Admins can preview any previous version of a template and restore it as the new live version with a single click, making it easy to roll back unwanted changes.
- Smart Update Notifications: Students with in-progress applications and evaluators reviewing open submissions are automatically notified via a banner when a template they're using has been updated.
- Version-Aware Exports: CSV and PDF exports now map each student's data to the exact template version they submitted under, preserving archived fields in historical records for accurate reporting.
- Copy Any Version: Admins can create an independent copy of any specific past version of a template to quickly spin up a new one.
Ability to unarchive archived templates and rubrics
With this release, administrators can unarchive templates and rubrics that have been archived.
Once an archived template or rubric is unarchived, it would be available for use as usual.
Mapping standards to rubrics: Search and usability updates
With this release, users can search for specific standards when mapping standards to the overall rubric or rubric elements.
Additionally, standards from all standard sets are displayed in a paginated list for improved performance.
