Assessment Projects: Enhanced filtering for project results
Assessment Project administrators will be able to filter Assessment Project results by student demographics, academic attributes, and course information, making it easier to review performance for specific groups of students and surface achievement gaps across the institution.
Updates include:
- A filter panel will allow administrators to narrow results by student demographics — including gender, race/ethnicity, first-generation status, Pell Grant eligibility, and transfer status — as well as academic attributes such as cumulative GPA, attending status, primary and additional majors, and earned credit hours.
- Course-level filters will enable administrators to view results for a specific term, course code, or section, with each section identified by section number, course code, and term.
- Filter options will be limited to values present within the specific assessment project being viewed, so administrators will only see choices that are relevant to the students and courses included in that project.
- Administrators will be able to save named filter sets within a project for easy reuse, making it simple to return to a frequently used view without re-selecting filters each time. Saved filter sets are specific to the project where they are created.
- A Filters Applied summary will appear on the results page whenever filters are active, showing which filters are in use and providing a one-click option to clear all filters.
- Both the chart view and the table view will update to reflect filtered results, giving administrators a consistent view across all result formats.
- Exports to PDF and CSV will include only the filtered results, so the data administrators share reflects exactly what they see on screen.
Program Application Templates
This release includes enhancements to Program Application templates to give administrators more control over how applications are built and organized. Updates include:
- Text formatting options are now available when building application templates for Section header and Text component, allowing administrators to create clearer, more professional-looking applications. Formatting options include bold, italic, underline, bulleted lists, and numbered lists.
- Answer choices can now be reordered within dropdown, radio button, and checkbox questions by dragging and dropping items into the desired order. New choices can also be inserted at any position in the list. (Available for new and draft application templates only).
- Questions can now be duplicated within an application template. Clicking the copy icon on any question will create a copy with all settings and choices pre-filled, placed at the end of the template and ready to edit independently. The copied question will default to the label "Copy_" followed by the original question name.
Email Notification for Activity updates
Students will now receive automatic email notifications when reviewers take action on their activity submissions, keeping them informed without requiring them to log in to check for updates. Notification preferences will be managed by program administrators. Updates include:
- Students will receive an email notification when a reviewer requests a revision on one of their activity submissions. The email will include the activity name, course section, reviewer name, and any feedback the reviewer has provided, so students can understand what is needed before logging in.
- Students will receive an email notification when their activity has been assessed and marked Done by a reviewer, confirming that their submission has been reviewed and prompting them to log in to view the assessment.
- Both notification types will be active by default for all students. Program administrators can enable or disable each type independently by navigating to Settings > Communications Management > Activity.
