Once users enrollments have been imported, or uploaded, into a project, CES Administrators can add to or unenroll users from courses within the project manually or in batch.
NOTE
Unenrolling users from an In Progress or Ended project may result in a loss of data/results. Please see below for more information on these scenarios.Manually
To manually unenroll a user:- Access the desired project.
- Click on the Users.
- Search for the user.
- Click on Edit (pencil icon), located to the right of the respective user, to enter Edit User mode.
- Under Enrolled Courses, click on the Unenroll link, located to the right of the respective course, to unenroll the student/instructor from that course.
NOTE
- Unenrolling Students: Unenrolling students within an In Progress or Ended project, who have already submitted responses, will remove any of this student's responses from results!
- Unenrolling Instructors: Unenrolling instructors within an In Progress or Ended project that are enrolled in a team-taught course, when team-taught questions are enabled on the survey, will result in a loss of data for that instructor's team-taught question results!
In Batch
- Go to the Users subsection of your project.
- Here, you can select a group of users and click on Export Selected Users.
Note: To export selected users, all users must be selected on the same page (you can adjust records per page at bottom of page to accommodate large groups of users prior to export). - Or you can select Export All Users in Project.
- Users will export to an Excel file. Within this user file in Excel, add a column after Username with the header Unenroll and insert a 1 in this column for every user enrollment that you wish to unenroll from a course in that project.
- Save the updated Excel file.
- Return to Users subsection of your project.
- Under the Data Import menu, click on Excel, and then find and select new upload file.
- Click on Upload.
