Rolling Back a Completed Sync

In certain cases, such as when a sync was performed accidentally or needs to be undone, you may need to roll back the entire sync to remove all the Course Evaluations & Surveys (CES) reports that were attached to the corresponding Scheduled Teaching records in Faculty Success (FS). This can be done using the Course Evaluation Management tool in FS

Before You Begin

Rolling back a sync will permanently remove the associated CES reports from the Scheduled Teaching records they were attached to. This action cannot be undone.

If needed, you can perform a new sync at any time to reattach CES reports to the appropriate records for a selected project.

How to Roll Back a Sync

  1. From the navigation bar, go to Tools.
  2. Select Course Evaluation Management.
  3. In the History table, locate the previous sync you want to modify.
  4. Navigate to the Actions column for that sync, click the downward arrow to open the actions menu.
  5. Select Remove Evaluations from the actions menu.

A History section in an online platform showing a list of synced projects with details such as project name, report type, term, year, instrument, date, and status, along with an actions menu that includes options to download results and remove evaluations, with the Remove Evaluations option highlighted.

These actions, once completed, will remove the CES reports that were added as a result of that sync.

Need to Reattach CES Reports?

To re-add CES reports to their corresponding Scheduled Teaching records for a CES project, simply run a new sync for the project following this steps outlined in How to Initiate a Sync Between Course Evaluations & Surveys and Faculty Success.
