Add SS&E Tile to Office 365 App Launcher

Often customers ask how they can add an SS&E tile to their Office 365 installation. Doing so makes SS&E Engage easily accessible when institutional users are using other Microsoft services. It also automatically logs the user on to SS&E

Note: This article is heavily based on Microsoft's help article located here.

Add a Custom Tile to the App Launcher

  1. Sign in to Office 365 with your work or school account.
  2. Select the app launcher icon App launcher button and choose Admin.

  3. In the Office 365 admin center, search for tiles or use the left navigation pane by choosing Settings > Organization profile > Add custom tiles for your organization.

  4. Choose Add custom tile plus button Add a custom tile.

  5. Enter a Tile name for the new tile. We recommend "Watermark Student Success & Engagement".

  6. Enter a URL for the tile. This is the location where you want your users to go when they click the tile on the app launcher.  Enter the url of SS&Eat your institution.  If you do not know your url, SS&Eutilizes a standard naming convention of https://.avisoapp.com where institutionDomain is your institution's unique domain on the web.  For example, Miami University (muohio.edu) would have an SS&E url of https://muohio.avisoapp.com.

  7. Enter a Description for the tile. You see this when you select the tile on the My apps page and choose App details.  We recommend "Watermark Student Success & Engagement is 's student success platform."

  8. Enter an Image URL for the tile. The image appears on the My apps page and app launcher.  Use one of these image urls:

  9. Choose Save to create the custom tile.

Your custom tile now appears in the app launcher on the All tab for you and your users.

Promote the Tile to the Home Tab
