Blackboard Upgrade & LTI Integration Information

Blackboard Upgrade

Blackboard Building Block users who are upgrading or changing their Blackboard installations will need to engage with SS&E Professional Services utilizing a services subscription plan or the Watermark Academy in order to test the new environment using the test Blackboard environment.

This will allow us to verify the Blackboard integration with SS&E so that there are no issues moving forward after the Blackboard upgrade.

LTI Integration

SS&E does not currently offer an LTI integration.

Some institutions have used other options, but they are all done within Blackboard side and consist of adding a link to the main SS&E URL (ie. https://yourinstitution. avisoapp.com ) to a navigation menu.

This isn’t anything that is enabled within SS&E or by Watermark staff.

Blackboard typically (depending on version) allows arbitrary links to be added in various places.

• If using Original Experience in Blackboard, it’s possible to do something like this: Administrator - User Interface Options to add such a link.
• If using Ultra, it may be possible to add a web link to the Base Navigation, but the LTI tools section is not currently supported by SS&E.
