Course Section Meeting Cancellation
If a course section meeting was cancelled or otherwise did not meet, due to bad weather or a holiday, for example, you can click the "Cancel Meeting" button. This will cancel the currently selected course section meeting.
Clicking on the "Cancel Meeting" button will display "Are you sure you want to cancel this meeting? All attendance records for this meeting will be permanently deleted. These records cannot be recovered."
- Cancelling a meeting will delete all attendance records for that specific course section meeting, so proceed with caution.
- Once a meeting is cancelled, the meeting is no longer considered to be "missing attendance" and does not factor into the missing attendance score on your attendance dashboard.
The cancelled meetings will still be shown in the interface throughout the software, but will be labelled as "CANCELLED". If you cancelled a meeting by mistake, you can "Un-cancel" it by selecting the cancelled meeting and clicking the "Un-cancel Meeting" button.
Meeting cancellation is enabled by default, but this feature can be configured by navigating to Admin > Attendance > Configuration. The checkbox labeled "Allow Instructors to Cancel Meetings" controls whether or not meeting cancellation is enabled.
