System Administration Release Notes for May 14, 2026

System Administration Role Management

The System Administrator role can now be managed directly within System Administration. This update allows administrators to grant or remove super user access for colleagues using the Add Person and Edit Person panels, as well as view and filter System Administrators in the main listing page. These changes streamline user management and help institutions maintain secure, up-to-date access.

The Edit Person screen with the System Administration role selector highlighted

The System Administrator role can be granted by going to a user's Person Details Page, selecting Edit Person, and then selecting the System Administrator role.

Important! This role grants full access to core institutional data, integrated products, and institution-wide user management.

Please note that the System Administrator role:

  •  cannot be imported by CSV
  • will not be exported with the roles.csv

As this is super-user access, the role can only be provided manually in System Administration.

The "Courses" template - Increased Line Limit

The limit for the Description field in the Course import template has been increased from 10 to 100 lines.

This change alleviates issues with export errors that were observed with lengthy Description data.

Error reports now display all unique combination errors

System Administrators can now view all unique combination errors in error reports and invalid rows files, rather than just a single instance. This update ensures that every occurrence of a unique combination error is clearly reported, making it easier to identify and resolve data import issues. As a result, users benefit from greater transparency and accuracy when reviewing validation results, helping to streamline troubleshooting and improve data quality.

Error reports now sorted by line number

Error reports are now organized by line number within the System Administration interface to facilitate more efficient debugging and issue tracking.
