Faculty Success Release Notes for February 24th, 2026

The article outlines recent enhancements to Faculty Success, including an updated default interface for users with Manage Data, improved error messaging and submission views in Reviews, Promotion, and Tenure, and expanded visibility, filtering, export options, and navigation within Faculty Career Pathways to support more efficient and comprehensive faculty activity management.

Faculty Success

Enhancements

Experience for Manage Data Users Updated to the New Experience

For institutions who have fully enabled the new faculty experience, manage data users now land on the new Faculty Experience by default. This update ensures deans, chairs, and faculty members immediately access the enhanced interface to streamline activity management.

Note: Administrative users with specific roles (such as Manage Data or the Submissions Table) can switch to the Admin View to perform administrative tasks. This option is available from the "person" icon at the top of the page.

Additional details on transitioning to the new faculty experience are available in this article, Understanding the Differences Between the Current and New Faculty Experience.

Reviews, Promotion, and Tenure

Enhancements

Updates to Schedule Confirmation Error Message

When a schedule confirmation fails because a reviewer has a deactivated account, the system now displays the relevant unit details within the error message. See the "Troubleshooting Common Confirmation Errors" section in the following article to learn more, Launching a Workflow Schedule

Submission View for Administrators serving as Committee Chairs

This update improves how full response details are displayed for users with increased permissions during joint appointment reviews:

  1. Workflow Administrators and Unit-Level Admins serving as Committee Chairs only see responses from other units after all participating units submit their input.

  2. Full response details for each step become available only when all participants complete the step.

Faculty Career Pathways

Enhancements

View and Filter Additional Event Types

Administrators now have full visibility into faculty activity beyond the top seven event types shown in the main chart. By selecting the “+[N] Event Types” link, admins can open a detailed drilldown table displaying all event types and their counts for the selected academic year. The table also supports filtering by event title and organization, helping admins gain a complete understanding of faculty activities and make more informed decisions based on comprehensive data.

Export additional event types

Administrators using Faculty Career Pathways Insights can now export detailed drilldown data including additional event types to a CSV file for deeper analysis outside the system. The export captures any applied filters, such as organization or event type, and includes a more comprehensive dataset than what is displayed in the User Interface table, supporting expanded reporting and analysis.

Faculty Timeline default view update and Navigation Enhanced

The Career Pathways faculty timeline now includes clearer navigation to help users quickly return to the current academic year. When viewing a past year, users see a “Jump to current year” button, and when viewing a future year, the option changes to “Back to current year,” improving clarity and orientation within the timeline.

In addition, the default timeline view has been updated. Instead of opening to the academic year of a faculty member’s Hire Date, the timeline now defaults to the current academic year, making it more efficient to review and maintain up-to-date faculty information.
