How to Activate Your LiveText Student Membership (Keycode or Purchase)

There are two ways to register for a new LiveText student account:

• Obtain a keycode* from your school or your school's bookstore and use it to register for an account at LiveText by Watermark
• Purchase your account directly at at LiveText by Watermark using a credit or debit card

*Contact your school's bookstore for keycode pricing information. Sometimes schools distribute keycodes to students, so you may wish to check with your school about this possibility.

Note: Before you register for a new LiveText student membership, check to make sure you don’t already have an existing LiveText student account. Having duplicate student accounts is not recommended.

To register with a keycode:

1. Go to LiveText by Watermark
2. Click Login | Register | Buy on the top right

3. Under Register Membership, click Register

   

4. Choose your Role by selecting Student
5. Enter your unique key code

6. Enter Your Personal Information and Create your LiveText Account. Complete the registration process by completing and verifying the required information and accepting the Terms of Service.

   Note: Use your official name on record at your institution, as opposed to nicknames

7. Click Register My Membership Account
8. After successfully completing the registration process, LiveText will display a Congratulations! page, displaying your username and the option to click to reveal your password.

Proceed to log in to your account at LiveText by Watermark.

To purchase a new account:

1. Go to www.livetext.com and click Login | Register | Buy on the top right
2. Click Purchase under Purchase Membership

   

3. Enter your personal information: Name, Date of Birth, and Institution and School Email Address are required fields.
4. Create a unique username and password. When creating a username, the name will be compared to all LiveText users, so using your school email address is recommended. If you receive the message “Username is already taken," you must modify your username.
5. Select a security question from the dropdown menu, provide an answer and a hint (to help you remember the answer to your security question). You can choose to answer your security question instead of resetting your password, if necessary.
6. Click Continue
7. Select a student membership type from the dropdown menu. See this article for information about the LiveText membership types: Differences between the LiveText membership editions
8. Enter your credit card billing information
9. Review and agree to the Terms of Service
10. Click  Continue
11. Enter your credit card information. Accepted credit cards are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
12. Click the Pay Now
13. After successfully completing the registration process, LiveText will display a Congratulations! page, displaying your username and the option to click to reveal your password. Your login information will also be sent to the personal email address provided during account registration.

Proceed to log in to your account at LiveText by Watermark.
