As we shared last year, it is vital that your Canvas integration stays up-to-date. In order to keep up with the latest trends in technology and ensure your integration is as secure, powerful, and reliable as possible we have upgraded our Canvas user integration to LTI 1.3 and our Data integration to use OAuth-based Developer Keys.
If you are currently using Canvas with CES, we ask that you please check to see if you are using our LTI 1.3 integration, and if not, please upgrade as soon as you can. Please be aware that we will OFFICIALLY be sunsetting our support for the original Canvas V1 integration on August 26, 2025.
Step 1: Check to see if you are using Canvas 1.3.
Navigate to Account > Integrations (section) > Canvas> User Settings (tab) and expand the Installation section at the top of the page
If you are using LTI 1.3 already then you will see the ClientId and DeploymentID information highlighted in the red box. If you do not have a section similar to the information in the box below, then you are on an older version of the Canvas integration and we suggest that you upgrade your Canvas integration.
**If you have a section similar to the highlighted section, you have already upgraded and no further action is necessary. If you do not, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Upgrade to LTI 1.3 if you have not already.
