Faculty Success Release Notes for December 10th, 2024

As annual review season begins, we're excited to introduce new features for Faculty Success. Faculty may now more easily manage their intellectual contributions through deeper integration with publication repositories in Faculty Accomplishments. Additionally, administrators gain the ability to send back active submissions in Reviews, Promotion, and Tenure, addressing a long-standing need.

New Features

Proactive Publication Search (Crossref)

This powerful new tool helps faculty and proxy users identify potential new and duplicate publications right within their main activity page. A new notification toolbar guides faculty to review publications they may have authored, where they may quickly review, accept, or merge these publications to keep their academic profile up-to-date and accurate.

New Features

Workflow Administrator Send-Back - Available Today!

Workflow administrators now have the ability to "Send Back" submissions to a previous step from the action menu of the Submissions screen. With this new feature, administrators are empowered with more flexibility in managing the review process. As part of this new feature, the following apply:

• Email Notifications: Administrators can choose to send an email notification along with the Send Back action or omit it, providing greater control over communication.
• Sequential Send Backs: Multiple sequential Send Back actions are supported, enabling submissions to be routed back through multiple steps as needed.
• Process Routing: Submissions will always be routed to the previously completed step, adhering to the same rules as reviewer-initiated Send Back actions.
