Customers utilizing the Results Home feature have the opportunity to incorporate Qualitative Analysis (sometimes called Text Analytics) for text-based questions at no extra cost. This optional feature is intended to enable faculty to effectively utilize data collected for a specific, non-team-taught Write-In question type. Customers must have the Results Home feature enabled to utilize the Qualitative Analysis feature.
There is an approval process to get the Qualitative Analysis feature enabled in your account. You can reach out to your Client Success Manager (CSM), who will help navigate the approval process. If you are not sure who your Client Success Manager is, you can Submit A Request to Support and they will let you know who the CSM is for your organization.
NOTE: As a Watermark Labs release, the feature will continue to evolve and we welcome feedback on what you think works well and where you think we can improve this functionality. It is currently only available in US environments and in the English language.
The Qualitative Analysis screen is designed to offer a overview of the feedback gathered through comments. One of the key components of this screen is the Summary section, which serves as a synopsis of the comments received. This section will distill the essence of the feedback, highlighting the main themes expressed by the respondents. By providing a succinct summary, users will be able to quickly grasp the overall sentiment of the feedback without having to sift through each individual comment.
In addition to the Summary section, the screen will feature a graph that presents a Sentiment Analysis. This graph will display the data in percentages, categorizing the responses into four distinct groups: Positive, Mixed, Neutral, and Negative. The visual representation of this data will allow users to easily interpret the overall sentiment of the comments at a glance.
