Filter Folders

Overview

Each user has the option to create folders to help organize their filters listed under each person type.

Folders allow quick access to filters instead of scrolling through a long list.

  • If person types is enabled, separate filter folders will display under each person type selected from the People page dropdown.
  • When person types is enabled, shared filters cannot be shared between different person types.
  • If person types is not enabled, all filters and filter folders will display on the Student page.

Attributes

  • Each user can create an unlimited number of folders.
  • By design, there is only one level of filter folders; users cannot create secondary folders or subfolders.
  • Folder names display in alphabetical order under the default Everyone and Caseload filters.
  • Each filter can only display in one folder at a time and can always be moved to a different folder when needed.

How to Add a Filter Folder

  1. Select the Student page or from the People page dropdown, select a Person Type.
  2. Select "Add Folder"
  3. Enter the folder name.
  4. Save the record.
  5. The folder will automatically display within the list of folders in alphabetical order.

How to Move a Filter into a Folder

  1. Find the filter you wish to move into a folder.
  2. Select the three dot menu.
  3. Select "To Folder".
  4. Select the folder you wish to move the filter to from the dropdown.
  5. Save the record.
  6. The folder will automatically display in the folder in alphabetical order.

Filters can also be added into a folder when adding or editing an existing filter.

  • On the New Filter or Edit Filter menu, select an existing folder to move the filter into.

How to Rename a Folder

  1. Find the folder you wish to rename.
  2. Select the three dot menu.
  3. Select "Edit".
  4. Enter the new folder name.
  5. Select Save.

How to Delete a Folder

If the deleted folder includes filters, these filters will automatically move back to the list of filters displayed under the person type folders in alphabetical order.

  1. Find the folder you wish to delete.
  2. Select the three dot menu.
  3. Select "Delete".
  4. If the folder is not empty, a confirmation message will appear.
  5. Select Ok to delete the folder.
