Course Dependency Report
Now available from your Tools screen in Unified Navigation is the Course Dependency Report.
After launching the new tool, you will be prompted to select a catalog year and catalog.
Please be aware of the messaging on the tool. The date retrieval will not be in real-time. This data is refreshed nightly.
Because of this, your selected catalog data may not be available. If you select Show Report and the data is not available, select Add to Queue to ensure your data will be available in 24 hours.
If the data is available, after selecting Show Report, you will see a list of all subject codes with the option to drill down to a course. By expanding a course, you can find all dependencies to that course.
Catalog Publishing Email Notifications
Recently, Curriculum Strategy has updated the publishing process and it is no longer simply publishing from the Sitecore database. There is an additional step that is publishing it to AWS where catalog sites are now hosted. This can add a little bit more time to the process, and even though this is getting quicker and more efficient, there is an extra step to the process with this addition. To reduce client frustration and make this new process more transparent, we have introduced an email notification feature so users know when a catalog publish is complete whether you are publishing the entire catalog or just a small section/item.
Previously, the Sitecore Publishing Wizard provided users with the measurement of a catalog publish and would display when it was finished. Since this is no longer signifying the end of the publish, the Wizard will instead tell a user they will receive an email notification when the full publish is complete. The user who initiated the publish will then receive an email notification with a link to their published page once that publish is live.
This development is to ensure clients have a smooth and successful catalog publishing experience as we continue to make larger infrastructure changes.
The email notification will be sent to the user who initiated the publish, so any users who are making catalog publishes will be impacted.
Note that the From address for these notifications will be:
noreply@watermarkinsights.net
Clicking on the opt-out link will take the user to this page, which requires them to be logged in to Sitecore and they can unsubscribe from these publishing notifications:
