Ability to Align Courses to Programs (aka Program Curriculum) Manually in UI
In the System Administration user interface (UI) there is now functionality to create, update and remove program to course alignment. Importing program curriculum through a CSV import will continue to be an option and suggested for bulk program curriculum imports and updates. In the UI, System Administrators can search for a Course Name or Course Catalog Code and quickly toggle on and off a course’s alignment to a program. Additionally, the option to mark a course’s type as a required course or an elective course is available. Note, a course that is aligned to a program will default automatically as a required course type. Below shows various snapshots of the create, update and delete UI features now available.
Above shows the action menu, which include the option both View and Manage a Program’s Curriculum.
Above shows the Manage Curriculum flyout. One component shown is the filter dropdown options of: Aligned, Not Aligned or Any. Another component is the search bar - by course name or course code.
By clicking on the “align button” a course aligns to the program. By default, the course is set as “Required Type”. To remove a course’s alignment to a program, click on the “un-align button”.
Clicking on “Edit Type” will allow the user to change course’s Type from “Required” to “Elective” along with info about this additional data point.
Ability to create Person ID when adding People in UI
When creating a Person in System Administration one will be able to add a Person ID, or they may opt to choose the auto-generated Person ID that mirrors the person’s email.
The Person ID above is automatically generated, mirroring the person’s email.
One can overwrite the auto-generated Person ID, and choose to create their own Person ID, as shown above.
Improved Data Processing Flow for CSV Data Imports
When importing CSVs for all data objects the user will now be able to clearly monitor the progress, success and errors as the data is processed into System Administration. The below images show the processing of a CSV import for Cohort Enrollments including a successful import state and imports with validation and non-validation error states.
Above shows the prompt to select a CSV file to import, and also provides a link for a CSV template if needed.
