Creating a Note from Messages

Faculty and staff can create a Note for the Messaging feature within the Student Success & Engagement platform. Notes can be created in two ways. By clicking Create Note From Message, that message will then appear within the Notes Tab of a student’s record. If the message was sent to multiple students, each student will receive a note on their record.

  • Selecting "Create a Note from Message" will add the Note Type dropdown field.
  • If a user's role(s) do not have any permitted note types, they will not be able to create a note.

Notes can also be created from already existing messages. Clicking on the A "Add Note" option, a particular portion of a conversation can be saved in Notes on a students record.

Upon clicking the indicator options of Note Types and adding further details become available.

Clicking "Create" saves the note within the students record.
