Overview

Assessment plans allow administrators and contributors to view assessment results based on course section terms and reporting years. This article explains how to navigate assessment plans, filter assessment results using various criteria, and export detailed results for reporting.

Assessment Plans

  • Access: Administrators and contributors view assessment results within assessment plans.
  • Results Display: Results display based on the course section terms and the reporting year of the assessment plan.
    • Example: Alignments added for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 display results in the 2022-2023 assessment plan for Fall 2023 alignments.
  • Aggregated Chart: Displays the total number of assessments that met or did not meet the criteria or score.
  • Filter Options: Users filter aggregated results by course and student.

  • Accessing the Assessment Plan: Select the assessment plan with the reporting year date range that corresponds to the selected course section term.

Filtering LMS Assessment Results

Course Section Filter

Users filter measure results by selecting a specific course section.

  • The aggregated results update to show the "Met" and "Not Met" percentages for the selected section.

  • If no results are available, an empty state message appears to notify the user.

Modality Filter

Users filter aggregated results by modality (e.g., online, in-person) associated with course sections.

The chart updates to show "Met" and "Not Met" percentages based on the selected modality.

Primary Major Filter

Users filter results by Primary Major of students in the associated course sections. Charts dynamically update to reflect data for the chosen major.

Race/Ethnicity Filter

Users filter results based on student race or ethnicity.

Gender Filter

Users filter results based on student gender identification.

Generation Filter

Users filter results based on student generation status.

Pell Eligibility Filter

Users filter results based on student Pell eligibility.

Attending Status Filter

Users filter by Full-Time or Part-Time student status.

Combination of Filters

Users apply multiple filters simultaneously, and aggregated results dynamically update based on the selected combination. After applying filters, "Apply Filters" changes to "Edit Filters" for adjustments.

Cascading Filters

Filters follow a defined sequence: Modality → Course Section → Student Filters.

Aggregated Results Chart

  • Reflection: Accurate results display based on applied filters.
  • Filter Visibility: Users view applied filters when viewing the aggregated results chart.
  • Retention: Applied filters remain saved for the measure within an institution.

Download All Results CSV

Users download a CSV of all results by selecting "Download All Results CSV" located on the right side of the results section.

The downloaded file includes the following details:

  • Plan Title
  • Outcome Title
  • Measure Title
  • Activity Name
  • Activity Type
  • Course
  • Course Section
  • Term
  • Rubric Title
  • Grading Method
  • Grading Schema
  • Met %
  • Not Met %
  • Met Count
  • Not Met Count
