Overview
These release notes highlight recent system updates across Planning & Self-Study (P&SS), including expanded Artificial Intelligence (AI) action suggestions, in-app AI feedback mechanisms, character limit removals, and interactive progress tracking.
Generating AI Action Suggestions for File Upload Measures
The system generates outcome-level action suggestions for measures that rely on file upload results.
- Previous functionality: When a measure's results were submitted through a file upload, the system could not generate AI action suggestions for that outcome.
- New functionality: When an outcome contains only file-upload measures, the AI reviews all available content across those measures—including definitions, summaries, analyses, and measure-level actions—to generate outcome-level action suggestions.
Reporting Issues and Providing Feedback on AI Responses
Users in P&SS can report issues and provide feedback on AI-generated responses directly within the platform.
- Previous functionality: Users could not flag or submit direct feedback on AI-generated responses within the P&SS interface.
- New functionality: Users can report issues and submit feedback on AI responses directly in the platform.
- Context capturing: The system captures relevant context from the conversation to help the Watermark team investigate flagged behavior.
- Continuous improvement: This feature supports institutional assessment and planning workflows by ensuring ongoing improvements to the accuracy and reliability of AI insights.
Removing the Character Limit on Outcome Analysis
Plan Administrators and Contributors can enter and review detailed text of any length without truncation within the Outcome Analysis field in P&SS.
- Previous functionality: The Outcome Analysis field restricted entries to a maximum of 2,000 characters.
- New functionality: The system supports text of any length in the Outcome Analysis field, allowing users to enter comprehensive analysis.
- Full display access: The full text displays without truncation directly on the Plan Outcome page.
- Report consistency: Generated HyperText Markup Language (HTML) and Portable Document Format (PDF) reports include the complete text without cutting off information.
Tracking Report Status with the Overall Progress Chart
Program leads and institutional effectiveness leaders can track the status of report narratives using the Overall Progress card in P&SS.
- Previous functionality: Users monitored report completion through manual reviews or individual section checks, which required navigating across multiple pages to verify progress.
- New functionality: An interactive stacked bar chart titled Overall Progress displays on the Program Review overview page to show narrative status at a glance.
- Status categories: The chart categorizes sections into three statuses: Not Started, In Progress, and Complete.
- Filtering capabilities: Users can filter the chart by specific categories to review progress across different areas of the report.
- Workflow support: Program leads and institutional effectiveness leaders gain immediate visibility into report development to support assessment and accreditation timelines.
