Scheduled Maintenance Notification for Upcoming D2L Advanced Integration

Please be aware of upcoming maintenance for the D2L Advanced Integration in Planning & Self-Study. This update resolves an issue where some activities were not being pulled into Planning & Self-Study due to duplicate IDs in D2L. This maintenance is planned to take place over the weekend on May 16th and May 17th, 2026.

Note: This is informative and no action is required.

What's Changing?

To correct the duplicate ID issue, we will be clearing D2L assessment data and re-running a fresh sync. This ensures that assessment data aligns accurately with the correct activities in Planning & Self-Study going forward.

Your data is safe. Client-side data, including your existing alignments and assessment results within plans, will remain completely unaffected.

During the maintenance window, the D2L Advanced Integration will be temporarily unavailable for a few hours. Planning & Self-Study itself will remain fully available, and no other integrations will be impacted.

Why is this better for you?

  • Accurate Activity Syncing: Activities from D2L will pull into Planning & Self-Study correctly, without being blocked by duplicate IDs.
  • Reliable Assessment Alignment: Assessment data will align accurately with the correct activities going forward.
  • No Impact to Your Existing Data: Your client-side data, including existing alignments and assessment results within plans, will remain completely unaffected. The fix is limited to the D2L integration only.

What do I need to do?

No action is required on your part. However, please note the following:

  • Scheduled Syncs: If you have a bi-weekly sync scheduled on the day of the fix, your sync will run one day later than usual and then resume its normal schedule.
  • Plan Around the Window: We recommend avoiding D2L integration activities during the maintenance window. Any actions that rely on the D2L integration will resume automatically once maintenance is complete.
