Overview
For a comprehensive look at outcomes created at any level of the institution*, Planning & Self Study features the Outcome Details Report. This is a CSV export that includes the following data points:
- Outcome Title and Description
- Time signatures for outcome creation and most recent update
- Information for the Organization and Leads that created the outcome
- The Outcome Set Title, with the total number of outcomes in set
- Whether the outcome is currently archived
- Multiple indicators for outcome mapping/tagging/inclusion on Curriculum Maps
- Multiple indicators for Plan inclusion/assessment
*For the purposes of this article, "organizational-level outcomes" refers to any outcomes created by a program, department, division, etc. This is to distinguish them from course-level outcomes.
Running the Outcome Details Report on Organizational Outcomes
- As an Administrator, select Organization Management from the toolbar on the left of the homepage
- Users who are not an Administrator in Planning & Self Study can select the Organization name, for any Organization they are assigned as a Lead to, on their homepage
- For an export that contains outcomes for the entire institution, select the institutional-level of the hierarchy. For outcomes pertaining to a single organization, select that organization.
- On the following screen, select Docs & Reports on the lower-left
- Select the "Reports" tab
- Select the Download icon for the "Outcome Details Report - All Organizations" export
If interested in running the report ONLY on the institutional-outcomes, without including outcomes from all other areas, select the "(institutional name) Outcome Details Report". An example of this is shown below:
Running the Outcome Details Report on Course Outcomes
If interested in running an export of course-level outcomes, follow the exact steps above*, but make sure to select one of the reports shown below.
For Course Outcomes for the entire university, select the Download Icon for "Outcome Details - All Courses" report.
For a report of course-level outcomes specific to a lower level of the hierarchy, such as a Department, run the same steps after clicking into the department-level of the hierarchy.
*Users who are not Administrators in Planning & Self Study can run this report by clicking on the Program they are assigned as Lead to under "My Leadership" on the homepage. Alternatively, if assigned as Lead to as single course, they can also run this report for that course by selecting the course name from the homepage.
