Importing Measures

Overview

This article guides an admin through the process of using the measures import tool. This feature allows top-level administrators to import measures for all organizations and programs across the institution at once.

Import Measures

  • From the navigation menu, select Organization Management.
  • Click Import.
  • Select Import Measures.

Prepare Your Import File

A pre-formatted CSV template is available for download on the import page. Using this template helps ensure the data is in the correct format for a successful import.

File Requirements

  • Only .csv files are accepted.
  • The system checks for correct column headers and required fields.
  • The import will fail and display an error message if the file is an invalid type or contains validation errors.

Adding Measures to Past Plans

To add measures to a past plan, specify "Yes" in the designated column within your import file.

Upload and Process the File

  • Select the completed .csv file.
  • Click Upload to begin the import process.

  • After a successful upload, a processing window will appear, followed by a confirmation message.

Note: Simultaneous imports for the same organization are prevented. If an import is already in progress, a message will display the current uploader's information.

View Imported Measures

Successfully imported measures are visible in the following locations:

  • Manage Measures section under the associated outcome.

*Note: Measures will not auto-populate all plans. They will need to be selected from the Measure Library and pulled into a plan.

Error Messages

The system displays specific error messages if required fields are missing, or if there are invalid organization codes, outcome titles, measure methods, outcome types, or character limits.
