New Feature: Clearing FTP Datasets in CES
For institutions using FTP as a Data Source to import course/user information into CES, CES Administrators now have greater control over the synced data. CES Admins can now clear specific or bulk records directly within the system.
This feature simplifies data management by allowing you to "reset" or prune your dataset without needing to manually overwrite files or contact support. Previously, institutions would have to reach out to Support to clear their old synced data.
NOTE: Clearing data from the FTP source does not affect data that has already been imported into projects. This only affects the list the CES Admin uses to select and import courses into CES projects.
How it Works
You can manage your FTP data by navigating to Accounts > FTP. From this page, you can choose to remove data in two ways:
Clear All: Remove the entire existing dataset to start fresh for a new term or project.
Targeted Search: Use a course code to find and remove specific records from the dataset.
Key Benefits
Safety First: To prevent accidental deletions, the system will provide a confirmation prompt before any data is removed.
Real-time Feedback: You will receive a notification once the clearing process is successfully completed.
