Managing Email Notifications

Email Notification Controls for Planning

Administrators can enable and disable the email notifications for various functionalities in Planning. These controls affect everyone in the organization. The system also will display the date and time of the last email sent of each type.

To manage email notifications, go to Admin>Notifications.

Plan Published Notification Emails

The program lead/course lead will receive an email notification when a program/course plan is published. Clicking on the ‘Get Started’ button/ URL link will land the user on the “Progress By Organization” page if they are already logged in and have the platform role ‘Administrator’. Users with a platform role as ‘Contributor’ will land on the “Outcome List Page”. If the user is not already logged in, then they will be asked to log in and directed to the mentioned page.

If the program lead has been removed from the organization or the plan has been deleted, and they try to access the plan publish email link, they will be redirected to an alert.

An access message stating that the plan cannot be accessed, with a note explaining that access has been removed and advising contact with the plan administrator if this is an error, along with a close option.

Accreditation Self-Studies Email Notifications

Administrators can enable and disable the email notifications for areas in the self-study module. These notifications affect any user added to a self-study as a contributor, administrator, or an assignee. This area also admins to see when the last email notification was sent.

Email Notification Controls for Program Review

Administrators can enable and disable the email notifications for various functionalities in Program Review. These controls affect everyone in the organization. The system also will display the date and time of the last email sent of each type.

The program lead will receive an email notification when a program review is launched. Clicking on the ‘Get Started’ button/ URL link will land the user on the “Program Review side menu” page if they are already logged in and have the platform role ‘Administrator’. Users with the ‘Contributor’ role will land on the Overview sub tab of the respective program review. If the user is not already logged in, then they will be asked to log in and directed to the mentioned page.

If the program lead has been removed from the organization or the program review has been deleted and they try to access the Program Review launch email link, they will be redirected to an alert.

An access message stating that the program review cannot be accessed, explaining that access has been removed and advising contact with the administrator if this is an error, with a close option.

These emails will be sent by ‘noreply@watermarkinsights.com’. Disabling email notifications will prevent any further emails of each type until the notification is set as on again. The emails will be enabled for future triggers.

 

SAML Update for Notification Emails

Users who are authenticated with the SAML authentication will now be navigated to their school’s login page (if they are not logged in) when they access the product through emails received for various functionality in Planning & Self-Study.

Upon successful login, they will be redirected to the desired landing page based upon the type of email notification. If they have access to more than one Watermark product, they will land on the product selection page and from there can select Planning & Self-Study. They will then be navigated to the desired page.
