Planning & Self-Study Release Notes for December 18, 2025

Overview

This release note outlines the recent updates to character limitations within Planning & Self-Study to provide greater flexibility for descriptive content. It also introduces new management capabilities for Assessment Plan Reviews.

Enhanced Flexibility in Plan Review Management

This release introduces new administrative capabilities for managing Plan Reviews in Planning and Self-Study. These updates are designed to provide institutional administrators with greater control and the ability to make changes during an active review.

Plan Review Management

We have enhanced the flexibility of Plan Reviews to ensure smoother processes and greater administrative control. Previously, administrators were unable to modify reviewers or organizations once a review had reached "In Progress" status.

Key Changes

  • Edit Reviewers and Organizations: Administrators can now update the reviewer or participating organizations for an In Progress Plan Review directly from the action menu.
  • Link Invalidation: When a reviewer is changed, the previous review link is automatically invalidated to ensure security and data integrity.
  • Notifications: The system generates updated email notifications to keep all relevant parties informed of changes.
  • Remove Organizations: Administrators now have the authority to remove an organization or delete a review even after it has started.

Increase Character Limitations

We have enhanced the flexibility of our platform by increasing or removing character limitations in key areas, specifically for Measure and Outcome fields. This update allows users to provide richer, more meaningful descriptions and titles, improving overall clarity.

Expanded Content Fields

Users can now enter longer and more descriptive text in the following areas:

  • Measure Titles and Descriptions
  • Outcome Titles and Descriptions

Removal of Arbitrary Limits

  • The character limit for Outcome Descriptions and Measure Descriptions has been removed to allow for unrestricted input.
  • The character limit for Outcome Titles and Measure Titles has been increased to 255 characters.

Improved Data Handling

  • The application now fully supports and validates these longer text entries, including during data import integration processes.
