Insights in P&SS

Overview

The Organization Management module has widgets that provide an overview of your institution's results and progress. This article discusses the widgets and how to access them.

How to Access the Widgets

  • Click Organization Management on the admin panel.
  • Click the institutional level in the hierarchy.
  • The next screen will land on the Insights tab.

The Insights area is comprised of two tabs:

  • Strategy
  • Continuous Improvement

Viewing the Strategy Tab

Under the Strategy section, an overview of the institutional strategy is displayed. This widget shows the progress of organizations, programs, and courses regarding their Mission Statement, Learning Outcomes/Success Outcomes, and Mapping.

View Mission Statement Progress: To see the progress for a Mission Statement, click the green side of the pie chart. For example, if the chart shows 5/27, it means two out of 27 organizations have added a Mission Statement.

To further drill down, click Progress Drilldown by Organization.

A list will display on the screen. This list shows the organization, status, last updated date, lead, and an option to email the leads to remind them about adding a Mission Statement.

Clicking Email Leads will reroute to your preferred email provider and you'll be able to compose a message.

Note: The same process can be repeated for the Programs and Courses tab within the widget as shown below.

The option to export the widget, along with the progress by organization is located on the top right corner. The export will open in a new tab and can be downloaded as a PDF.

Programs Mapped to Institutional Learning Outcomes

This widget allows an administrator to review which programs have/have not mapped to the institutional learning outcomes.

In this above example, only 6% of programs have mapped to the Communication Learning Outcome. Click on the green bar to view more details.

The next screen will display the program name, status, how many outcomes have been mapped, the leads, and the option to email those leads.

The option to switch between status types is located on the top right corner.
