Self Service Check-in meetings are missing from the Next "Staff" View

Overview

If Allow Self Service Check-in is enabled for a specific Service Location in Meeting Service Location Administration, found here, this means that the Service Location is being used as a Self Service location, i.e. a "room" where students can sign in to Next for check-in notifications vs. meeting requests.

This allows students to use the Next kiosk system to sign into a room, vs. signing in to request a meeting with a staff member.

Therefore, by design:

  • Staff will not see these type of meetings within Student Success & Engagement
  • Meeting notifications will not be sent out for Self Service Check-in Next "kiosk" meeting types

If Allow Self Service Check-in is not enabled, the service location will be used for meeting requests, and staff members will receive emails so that the students show up on their Meeting Requests tab.

Self Service is Enabled

The following screenshot is for a self-service meeting location.

  • When students select a self service enabled location (where "Self Service Check-In" is enabled), students will see the following page with the self service meeting location and self service check-in displayed on the left.
  • Meeting notifications will not be sent out.
  • On the Confirmation tab, after confirming all information, students will select "Check Me In".

Self Service is Not Enabled

The following screenshot displays for locations where Allow Self Service Check-in is disabled.

  • When Self Service check-in is disabled for the service location, i.e. unchecked, after students request meetings, meeting request notifications are sent out. 
  • After selecting the Campus, Location, Service Type, and "Who you would like to meet with?, a "Ready for assistance?" prompt displays "Please confirm the details of your meeting request and click the submit button below".
  • After confirming all information, students will select "Submit Meeting Request".
