Overview
This article describes how to use the integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant to generate and implement strategic improvement ideas within a measure in Planning & Self-Study (P&SS).
Utilizing AI for Improvement Ideas
The AI assistant allows users to brainstorm specific improvements directly within the chat panel where measure analysis is composed. This ensures action items are directly informed by data analysis.
Generating Recommendations
Selecting Recommend Improvement Ideas in the measure analysis flyout panel prompts the AI assistant to suggest strategies for performance enhancement. Additional ideas can be requested directly through the chat interface.
Creating Action Items
Once the AI assistant generates a list of ideas, users can formalize them into the system:
- Select Create Action next to a preferred suggestion.
- Edit the Description manually to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- To edit the Action Type, select Change Action Type and choose a Status.
- Assign a Due Date or Budget if applicable.
- Finalize the entry by selecting Create Action.
- After completing the measure analysis and action items, selecting Save and Close preserves all entered data and planned improvements.
Reporting Issues and Providing Feedback on AI Responses
Users in P&SS can report issues and provide feedback on AI-generated responses directly within the platform. By capturing relevant context from the conversation, this feature allows users to flag incorrect behavior. This ensures the Watermark team can investigate and improve the accuracy and reliability of AI insights to support institutional assessment and planning workflows.
To report an issue, select Report an Issue within the AI Assistant conversation.
Provide a detailed explanation of the issue and select Submit. Once feedback is submitted, a confirmation message displays on the page.
Note: This action does not submit a ticket to the Watermark Support team.
