Getting Started with AI Assistance for PSS

Overview

This article provides instructions for institutional administrators on managing and deploying Artificial Intelligence (AI) features within Planning & Self-Study (P&SS). It covers the administrative controls used to enable the Assessment Catalyst Toolpack for specific organizational units.

Configuring the Assessment Catalyst Toolpack

Institutional administrators possess controls designed to manage the rollout of AI features. These tools provide control over which departments or programs can access new capabilities, facilitating pilot programs and targeted feedback collection.

Key Administrative Capabilities

  • Flexible Deployment: Administrators select specific AI features to make available to designated organizational units.
  • Granular Selection: A list of institutional units supports search and filter options to identify specific programs quickly.
  • Centralized Oversight: A dedicated management view displays the status of AI features across the institution to adjust access levels.
  • Authorized Access: Configuration access is restricted exclusively to institutional administrators.

Deployment Steps

  • Locate the Admin icon on the main left-hand navigation menu.
  • Select Configuration Settings.
  • Under the Data Objects section, select AI Assistance.

Note: Only institutional administrators can access these settings. To enable this toolpack, contact the assigned Client Success Manager at Watermark or contact Watermark Support for assistance.

Reporting Issues and Providing Feedback on AI Responses

Users in P&SS can report issues and provide feedback on AI-generated responses directly within the platform. By capturing relevant context from the conversation, this feature allows users to flag incorrect behavior. This ensures the Watermark team can investigate and improve the accuracy and reliability of AI insights to support institutional assessment and planning workflows.

To report an issue, select Report an Issue within the AI Assistant conversation.

Provide a detailed explanation of the issue and select Submit. Once feedback is submitted, a confirmation message displays on the page.

Note: This action does not submit a ticket to the Watermark Support team.
