Creating New Custom Questions Surveys

From the top banner dropdown button of Custom Questions > Custom Questions Surveys, the user can click on the Create New Survey button, the user will land on this new page where they can add a title and description.

Once the user clicks Save, there will be an option to edit survey details along with an option to add a Question. They can either create a new question(s) or choose to select question(s) from an item bank or LO item bank.

If the user chooses to create a new question, they can do so by using existing question type(s).

Selecting Item Banks/LO Item Banks to add question(s) will bring the user to this screen. They can choose to either select All Item Banks (selected by default) or choose a specific survey from the search filter and get questions for that particular item bank.

The user can select required questions and click on Add Selected Questions located at the top right corner to add the selected questions.

Adding Custom Questions Surveys to Projects

Question Admins and Instructors with Custom Question access have access to Projects Home for their Custom Question Projects wherein they will see important dates corresponding to their project and the ability to add custom question surveys to the project.

After a Custom Question Survey has been created, clicking on the Project Name (either from the Custom Question Widget or Custom Question Projects page) will take the user to the Project Home page.

Clicking on Add Survey button, the user will land on this new page where they can select a survey and then click on Next to choose the destination(s).

The user will then be able to choose which courses will receive the selected custom question survey. Custom Question Admins will be able to select hierarchy levels and/or individual courses. Instructors will be able to select individual courses. Additionally, the user can also view the selections made on the right side panel.

Once the user clicks on Finish & Add, the survey and its destination(s) will be added to the project and will display on the Project Home. From here, the user can choose to add more surveys to the project.

If the user wishes to either preview the selected survey, adjust destinations or remove the survey, the user can click on the options menu corresponding to the survey and choose the appropriate action.
