Changing Your Name, Username, Password, or Email Address in Taskstream

You can change your username, password, e-mail or other account information, by clicking My Account located on the top right of the home page.

Note: If you would like to change your last name, please contact your school's Taskstream administrator to make this request.

To change your username and/or password:

  1. Click the Username/ Password tab on the upper right side of the screen.
  2. Enter your current password
  3. Click Continue to proceed. The next screen allows you to change your current password, username, and/or email address. You do not have to change all 3.

    Note: Passwords are case sensitive and must contain at least eight (8) characters, at least one (1) number and at least one (1) special character (!@#$). Passwords cannot contain your username.

    Password Hint (something to remind you of your password if you forget) must contain at least one (1) character. Username must contain at least four (4) characters.

  4. Type your changes in the respective boxes and click Apply Changes.

You can also change the email address associated with your account from the Subscription tab.

  1. Click Edit Personal Information to update your student ID number, address, phone number, and email address.
  2. Click Update Account Information to save the changes.

Other Areas of the My Account Page

Subscription Information

To access your subscription information click My Account and then click on the Subscription tab.

The Subscription tab contains account information such as profile data, history, and preferences that can be set and updated as needed. Some of the information is not editable by you but can be addressed by the System Administrator.

The Subscription page has four main sections:

Personal Information

View some of your personal information and a photo (if you have chosen to include one).

Click the Edit Personal Information button or navigate to the Personal Information tab to edit the information displayed.

Organizational Affiliations

View any organizational affiliations tied to your Taskstream account. You may have multiple affiliations within your organization; for example, you may be affiliated with the History department and the cross-disciplinary Asian Studies program.

From this section, you can also renew your account or view your next expiration date.

History

The History Area displays a count of the number of logins for your user id.

Click View Details to access a record of your login history.

Subscription Preferences

Customize your settings for certain Subscription Preferences:

  • Enable or disable any of the Taskstream tool packs available to youNote: If you do not have access to the Lessons, Units, & Rubrics tool on the top navigation bar or are missing a subset of standards or other features, ensure that the HTML Formatting Toolbar is enabled.   • Enable or disable the HTML Formatting Toolbar. When enabled, this toolbar is available in most Taskstream tools where there are large text input areas and enables you to easily format text.

  • Disable or enable the "Reminder to Submit work" on DRF requirements (this preference may not appear for some learning communities).
