Medical education programs leading to the MD degree in the United States and Canada are accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). The LCME's scope is limited to complete and independent medical education programs whose students are geographically located in the United States or Canada for their education and that are operated by universities or medical schools chartered in the United States or Canada.
As part of our suite of accreditation reports, Faculty Success maintains a custom report fitting the LCME template for Table 4.2-1. This table is required as part of the full survey and is part of the associated Data Collection Instrument (DCI). This table pulls information about your Medical faculty's scholarly productivity including articles in peer-reviewed journals, published books/book chapters, faculty co-investigators or primary investigators on extramural grants as well as other forms of peer-reviewed scholarship as defined by your institution.
While the report addresses one of tables needed for the LCME DCI, you will find that other data tracked in Faculty Success may be used to support additional standards and requirements set forth by LCME, such as Standard One which focuses on Mission, Planning, Organization, and Integrity; Standard Two which focuses on Leadership and Administration and other areas of Standard Four which focuses on Faculty Preparation, Productivity, Participation, and Policies. Specifically, within Faculty Success you may already be tracking conflict of interest policies, mechanisms for faculty participation, Dean qualifications and faculty sufficiency information.
