Personal and Contact Information

- Serves to capture fundamental user contact and demographic information. The name and email fields are designed to automatically populate with values entered in the Users & Security tool when a user's account is first created, ensuring consistency and accuracy of of the user's email and name information across the system.
Biography and Expertise
- Screen type: Static
- Consolidates faculty members' professional interests and competencies, serving as a repository for key information that can be utilized to create web profiles, offering transparency and facilitating collaboration.
Administrative Data
Permanent Data
- Screen type: Static
- Provides a snapshot of faculty members' tenure timeline and essential HR details such as the start date of their professional positions. It's important to note that while this screen is tailored to capture a faculty members professional timeline, faculty members' should record their employment history in the "Work History" screen which would help ensure accurate representation of current appointments on CVs generated from Faculty Success.
Yearly Data
- Screen type: Static
- Serves as a central hub for storing unit appointments, such as those within colleges and departments, typically on an annual basis. This screen also plays a crucial role in housing AACSB accreditation data for AACSB reporting. Additional data owner paths could also be added to this screen, such as Faculty Rank, to enhance user indexing.
Administrative Assignments

- Captures administrative leadership positions. These positions usually involve compensation or payment in some way, unlike other service roles such as being a committee member.
Awards and Honors
- Screen type: Dynamic
- Keeps track of recognitions such as awards, honors or nominations received by faculty members. This screen permits for the ability to note any monetary value associated with the recognitions, as well as provide details about the recognitions themselves, showcasing the recognition received for the faculty members' work.
Consulting

- Stores faculty members' consulting work, whether compensated or done voluntarily. Consulting work demonstrates the faculty members expertise and is considered noteworthy within this screen.

Directed Student Learning (e.g., theses, dissertations)

- Captures interactions involving specific students and deliverable-oriented tasks, such as supervising a student's dissertation or directing a student's independent study.
Mentoring

- This screen captures faculty teaching activities that are not for credit and not needed to be tracked by the registrar's office. These activities can be internal or external to the institution and may or may not be academically focused.
Note: There might be some overlap with service activities and presentations. It's up to the faculty member to determine whether an activity counts as a presentation, public service, or non-credit teaching.
Scheduled Teaching

- This screen captures regular for-credit faculty teaching activities associated with the institution and tracked by the registrar's office.
Teaching Innovation and Curriculum Development

- This screen captures faculty service to their profession, such as serving as Vice President of a professional association or on a journal's editorial board. This type of service is crucial, especially at research heavy institution.
Public
- Screen type: Dynamic
- This screen captures service that is not to the institution or profession, such as volunteering, public education initiatives and non-profit involvement. Public Service is diverse and varies widely based on community and university location.
