Planning & Self-Study Release Notes for November 19, 2024

Enhanced Folder Management of Evidence in a Self-Study

This update improves folder management for evidence in a Self-Study, making it easier for users to organize evidence, view embedded statuses, and handle folder operations. These changes offer better control, visibility, and efficiency.

Folder Creation: Users can now create folders easily by clicking the + icon and adding a title. All folders will be listed alphabetically in the left-side panel for easy access.

The new All Evidence area shows all files in one place. Users can move files between folders or from All Evidence to a specific folder, making it easier to reorganize materials.

Move to Folder: Users can now move files between folders or from the All Evidence area to a specific folder. Simply click the action menu, Move to folder, then choose the destination folder from the list to relocate the file.

Evidence location: The location of each piece of evidence is now automatically updated based on its folder. Any evidence added to a folder will also appear in the All Evidence area, with its location clearly shown, making it easier to track where evidence is stored.

Embedded status: The embedded status for each piece of evidence now shows not only if it’s embedded but also which specific standards it’s linked to. This provides better tracking and relevance across narratives and standards.

Folder Renaming and Deletion: Users can now rename or delete folders. When a folder is deleted, all its files are removed, and their location in the All Evidence area is updated to "Unassigned." Renaming folders allows users to assign more relevant names based on their purpose.

Users can not delete evidence from inside a folder. They can only remove the file from its folder. To delete evidence, users should delete from the All Evidence area.

Self-Study Copying: Users can now duplicate a self-study, including all folders and evidence. This makes it easy to copy the entire structure and related materials to a new self-study.

Archived Self-Studies: Evidence from archived self-studies will remain viewable, but users won’t be able to create folders, move evidence, or delete anything, ensuring the information stays intact.
