Lightcast - Degrees Conferred for an Institution
This update introduces the ability to view degrees conferred by degree level (BA, MA, and PhD) for institutions, providing a more granular and useful breakdown. Users can now view degree completions for BA, MA, and PhD levels within an institution, which are displayed based on the selected program CIP code for the institution.
The feature includes expandable sections where users can view detailed degree completions for BA, MA, and PhD. If degrees are available, an arrow mark will appear, and the text will be in bold purple. If no degrees are available, the section will not have an arrow for expansion, and the institution's text will appear in plain text.
This enhancement integrates seamlessly with the existing degrees completions widget by adding an expandable/collapsible section. Users can still add this widget to the narrative, where it will appear as a table with the institution's name in bold and degrees in plain text.
The degrees conferred feature now displays additional data columns, including:
- Degrees Completions specific to each degree level (BA, MA, Doctorate)
- Growth % indicating year-over-year changes in degree completions for each degree level
- Market Share showing the percentage of degrees completed for each degree level within the institution compared to the total degrees in the widget
- Tuition and Fees associated with each degree level
Once added and saved in the narrative, users can preview the data and export the program review as a PDF or Word document. The exported file will include details of the degrees conferred under the degrees completion by institution widget. This enhancement provides a more detailed and comprehensive view of degrees conferred, helping users make better-informed decisions based on the data.
