In this release, we are introducing a new feature to the Lightcast Program Review process that allows users to see the location of an institution when selecting peers for setting up their dashboards. This enhancement is designed to help users accurately differentiate between institutions with identical names by displaying location details alongside the institution name.
When searching for institutions in the "Select Institution" field across various widgets, the location will now be displayed next to the institution name in the format: "Institution Name (City, State)" e.g., "Blue Ridge Community College (Flat Rock, NC)."
The location of the selected institution will be visible in the "View Selected" section and also in the institution details page. Location details are integrated into the edit workflow for institutions, ensuring that users always have contextual information readily available while making selections.
Once an institution is selected and widgets are populated, the location will appear beside the institution's name in the "Degree Completions by Institution" widget. This allows users to easily differentiate between the selected institutions.
Narratives
When widgets are added to the narrative section, the location will be displayed in the same format as in the search results and widgets. So that users can use the location details or the information of the degree completions to work on their program review reports.
Export
Upon exporting narratives to PDF or Word formats, the location details will be preserved in the same format as displayed on-screen, ensuring consistency across different outputs.
This update improves the usability of the Lightcast Program Review tool by making it easier for users to identify and select the correct institution. By incorporating location data directly into the selection and review processes, users can make more informed decisions, leading to more accurate and meaningful insights in their dashboards and reports.
