Your browser may save certain images or webpages to make page loading quicker the next time you visit a site. While this is helpful, temporary internet files may interfere with content you want to enter on a page or in a form. Clearing your browser of these stored files is recommended on a periodic basis.
Note: Clearing the cache is the same as deleting browsing history
In most web browsers, you can use a shortcut to open the menus used to clear your cache, cookies, and history:
- Windows: Press Ctrl-Shift-Delete
- Mac: Command-Shift-Delete

Google Chrome
To manually clear your cache:
- Go to Menu (the three-tiered "hamburger" icon in the upper right).
- Select Settings.
- Go to Show advanced settings.
- Under Privacy, choose Clear browsing data.
- Check the following:
- Browsing history
- Download history
- Cookies and other site and plugin data
- Cached images and files
- Click Clear browsing data to finish.
Mozilla Firefox PC/Windows
- Go to Options.
- Select Clear All History.
- Check Cache.
- Click Clear Now.
Alternative method:
- Click the Menu button (three-tiered "hamburger" icon).
- Go to Options > Privacy.
- Select Clear your recent history link.
Mozilla Firefox Mac
- Click Firefox in the menu bar.
- Select Preferences.
- Go to Advanced > Network.
- Under Cached Web Content, click Clear Now to finish.
Safari Mac
- Click Safari in the menu bar.
- Select Empty Cache.
- Click Empty to confirm.
- Click the refresh icon to reload the page.
Alternative method: Press Option-Command-E on your keyboard.
Safari PC
If the top menu is not visible:
- Press the ALT key to show the menu bar.
- Click Edit.
- Select Empty Cache….
- Click Empty in the pop-up window to confirm.
Microsoft Edge
In the Edge browser, included in Microsoft's newer versions of Windows, clearing the cache is done via the “Clear browsing data” menu:
- Open the Clear browsing data menu.
- Check Cached data and files.
- Click Clear to finish.
Internet Explorer*
Microsoft stopped its support for Internet Explorer in 2021, so we advise to use an up to date browser.
Watermark recommends you use the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, or Safari as your browser. Some browsers will update automatically, but we suggest verifying your version from time to time.
