Sample Emails for Aviso Renaming Communication

Please find sample emails which may be used to help communicate about the upcoming changes with your campus community. 

There is a sample email to be used internally for faculty and staff as well as a sample email for students.

Regarding: New Watermark product names

Dear Team

As you are aware, we use Aviso, a software solution that allows us to intervene early and often with our students. Shortly after the first of the year, Watermark, also a company serving higher education, acquired Aviso. The intent of this partnership is to serve colleges and universities holistically in their efforts to drive progress on their strategic objectives and support student success. Aviso is a critical addition to that endeavor. To ensure Aviso continues to become embedded in the  larger picture, the company (Watermark)  moved forward to rename Aviso to Watermark Student Success & Engagement (SS&E). I'm reaching out to let you know of this specific change, we hope to minimize any disruption it might cause. Beyond noting the information below, no action is needed from you.

What’s changing?

You will soon see the new name, Watermark Student Success & Engagement (SS&E), start to show up in the product itself, starting with updates to logos and text references. Both the old and new product names will appear together for a period of time to ease the transition.

We’ll also start to refer to this product by its new name. As time permits, we’ll update help materials as well, although all of the how-tos and expectations noted there remain the same.

What’s not changing?

No workflows are changing, and you’ll continue to access this software just as you always have. This has become a critical tool for our campus and nothing will change with our business processes or procedures.

Shortly after the first of the year, a company called Watermark, acquired Aviso. To ensure that Aviso becomes embedded in the larger picture, the company (Watermark) moved forward to rename Aviso to Watermark Student Success & Engagement (SS&E). 

 

What does this mean for you?

While we wanted you to be aware of this change, no action is or will be needed. You will soon see the new name start to show up in the product itself, starting with updates to logos and text references. 

We’ll also start to refer to this product by its new name. As time permits, we’ll update help materials as well, although all of the how-tos and expectations noted there remain the same.
